Remembering Marilyn Monroe 51 Years Later

I was at the crypt of Marilyn Monroe on the 51st anniversary of her death.
Impressive flower displays were already in place as were notes and other things left by fans by the time I got there which was early in the morning.
It is clear that Marilyn is as loved today as ever and maybe even more so.
Her legend grows every year and her name and image is recognized by everyone around the world.
Girls and women dream of being like her.
Men dream that more females were like Marilyn.
Marilyn Monroe is iconic in every way.
Her crypt is the most visited resting place in Los Angeles.
It is stained pink by her countless fans touching and kissing it.
Marilyn wouldn't mind.
She loved pink.
She must be smiling down at all of this thinking that diamonds are not a girls best friend ...
